Thursday: Please find a partner and go to the computer lab.

Go to the Blueprints Website.

You will work through the writing process as you have during Unit 2. Each person will complete a paragraph, based on one of the ideas suggested in the Writing Task assignment in Unit 2 – Paragraph Exercises.

You will work through all of the phases of the writing process.
Prewriting
Planning
First Draft
Use the First Draft Checklist on page 58 – Pay CLOSE attention to Number 3!!!!!!
Partner Feedback (this is where you will need your partner!)
Use the Feedback Form on page 195
Second Draft
Use the Second Draft Checklist on page 59
Edit for grammar and mechanics
Final Draft
Please write this using WORD and print. As well, send it to me via email, so that I can check your homework.
KEEP ALL PAPER COPIES OF YOUR WRITING PROCESS – I WILL BE TAKING THESE ALL IN ON TUESDAY AND CHECKING THESE FOR MARKS!!!!!

Reminder you are to post a comment to one of the paragraphs on our Class Blog. These comments should be unique and personal and reflect what this author has written.

Friday: Continue with the writing process above.

When you finish, : go to the On-line Exercises at the Blueprints website. Go to Unit 3 – Process Paragraphs. Complete the activities a, b and c of Unit 3.

START Homework for Tuesday October 24.
By Tuesday, you should have sent me your completed paragraph.

Read Pages 66-67 of the textbook
Complete exercises 1 and 2
Read pages 78 and 79 of the textbook
Complete page 80 and bring your answer to Tuesday’s class.
Read page 83
Complete Grammar Exercises 7 and 8
Read pages 86-87
Complete Grammar Exercises 9 and 10

And remember…..
On Tuesday, bring in ALL parts of the writing process you completed for your paragraph.
