Addictions by Darina

Addiction is a problem that affects the whole society.
There are three substance addictions in the world: drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. First, drugs use an about 48 percent of the world population. It affects your overall health and well-being. Also it slowly destroys your brain, so people being to act in strange ways, and become very dangerous to themselves and society. Then, cigarettes cause a heart and lung problems and also results in bad breath along with decreased lung capacity. In fact, smokers are 79 percent of the world population. Next, alcohol user around 57 percent of the population. It damages your liver and kidneys. Because it is easy to purchase, many people use it as a coping mechanism to deal with stress and their problems, so it leads alcohol addiction. According doctors, many people in the world today are addicted to either drugs, alcohol or cigarettes. An addiction is a serious problem for modern society, so solutions must be developed to combat this problem.

  • It's good to have numberical inforamtion that makes the amount more specific.
    Drinking alcohol isn't a bad thing depends on how much people take it because alcohol is good to our health if we take a suitable amount every month.
